This includes detecting incidents, investigating their scope and root cause, and facilitating response and recovery. While logs can be used for performance, billing, or business analytics, the CCM’s controls in this domain are specifically focused on the security aspects of log generation, protection, analysis, and retention.

Infrastructure-as-Code contains sensitive configuration details. Making it public is equivalent to publishing network diagrams and firewall rule sets. Attackers can study this to understand segmentation, identify potentially weak security group rules, and plan targeted attacks.
